This 30-piece puzzle features the iconic Egyptian symbol, the Udjat Eye. The all-seeing "Eyes of Horus" represent the sun and the moon, the future and the past. The Udjat Eye was one of the most potent and popular Egyptian signs, worn as an amulet to protect from evil and to obtain everlasting life. This puzzle comes assembled in a poly bag with a cardboard backing. The finished puzzle is about 6.5 inches by 9.5 inches.
This symbol played a key role in passing cultural knowledge from one generation to the next, as they were written in the form of hieroglyphs on temple walls and obelisks, and used in ancient religious rituals involving both the living and the dead.

My husband is really into Egyptian things and thought this would be a fun little gift for him to put together, puzzle glue it and hang it somewhere (he's already got a place picked out lol). In fact that's the only complaint I have about the item is it comes already assembled. The fun of a puzzle is putting it together yourself. I don't think it took away from his enjoyment of the gift (which is the most important part) but I was a bit disappointed. Not a deal breaker at all but if it were me, I'd leave the building of the puzzle to the recipient. The puzzle itself is of the Udjat Eye of Horus. There's a nice little blurb on the back about the symbolism and the artwork it beautiful. It makes a nice little gift and appears to be an Egyptian import so the sellers may have had little to do with how it was packaged.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Blessings & thank you so much! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
The puzzle met my expectations. The colors and the sharpness of the lines are first rate. The cuts are smooth and the fit exact. Really fits the bill as a inexpensive gift for anyone into Ancient Egypt; suitable for children (not babies who would chew on it 😝). Price and shipping (free) surprisingly low when compared to the quality of this little puzzle. Buyers might want to know that the puzzle comes on a tray rather than in a box. NOT THE SELLERS FAULT!!!! It was my assumption it would come boxed so I was surprised when I opened the package and it was on a tray. A box or sleeve for storage would be great.
