A different interpretation of our traditional best-selling cartouche pendant, allowing two sides of personalization in Hieroglyphics, English, and/or Arabic, and a decorative diamond-cut edge.
Handmade to order, in the ancient bazaar of Khan el Khalili in Cairo, Egypt.
Available in the solid style only, in Sterling Silver, 14k, or 18k Gold. You may also order Sterling Silver with 14k Gold hieroglyphs.
Includes hieroglyphic alphabet chart, polishing cloth, and a jewelry box with a velvet bag.
**Production lead time is about 6-8 weeks.** It is worth the wait!
NOTE: You may choose to add extra hieroglyphics if there is room on your cartouche. To do so, please choose from the images below and add the corresponding number or symbol to your name in the personalization box. (Ex. "KATIE6").
If you would like a numeral instead of a special symbol, please contact us before ordering.
We have every cartouche stamped (to verify the metal content) by the Egyptian government before exporting, and this often looks like a flaw to our customers, but it is part of the handmade nature of the product itself. We have no control over where the pendant is stamped or how many times. The stamps are usually on the front and back of the pendant. Please contact us if you are concerned about the stamp or want a certificate to confirm its authenticity.

I love my cartouce!!! About 20 years ago we went to Egypt and I bought my cartouche. It became a part of me. I wore it all the time. Last month at an event, my necklace broke and I lost my cartouche. I was devasted. I couldn't believe I found a place on Amazon from Egypt where I could actually buy another o e without physically going there! Quality and delivery of the 2 inch Cartouche custom made was excellent. Arrived two weeks earlier than estimated. It is likely the company issues a longer delivery date estimate and manage expectations due to logistical and fabrication challenges in Egypt. I do not fault them for such, if true.

I could not be more impressed. About this at Christmas 2018 for my daughter. It is now June 2019 and there have been absolutely no issues with the pendant. The craftsmanship is superior. The inscriptions on the front and back were just as ordered. I ordered this very close to Christmas I reached out to the vendor and they worked with me to make sure that this pendant arrived for Christmas. Very easy to work with.The only concern I have at this point is if I’m not mistaken if you bought a gold pendant which I did you were to get a silver pendant for free. We never received the silver pendant. I have never reach back out to say I didn’t get the silver pendant I actually just thought of it when writing this review because we were so impressed with the Pindingt we received.Just a word for those purchasing this pendant it is Nice you will want to make sure you purchase a substantial chain for it to hang on so it doesn’t break.
