New Noteworthy Discoveries in Egypt

There are many archaeological digs, excavations and restoration projects always underway in Egypt. They are all painstakingly slow and in difficult conditions, so it is particularly exciting when the work results in a discovery that is noteworthy.

The recent work in Saqqara, home of the step pyramid, and just outside of the bustling metropolis of modern Cairo, has unearthed a treasure trove of antiquities, one of the largest discoveries in recent times.

We can't wait to visit Egypt again soon and see these ourselves. We remain patient as COVID-19 has limited all travel. Thankfully we have a committed staff and friends there who keep working and sending us beautiful treasures.
