Egyptian Scarab Statement Ring - Sterling Silver - Adjustable - Made in Egypt

This large ring makes a bold statement. It is made from sterling silver and features a synthetic lapis cabochon. It was hand selected from me on a recent trip to Cairo, Egypt! The silver is stamped by the Egyptian government certifying the silver content. The size of the scarab face is 1.25 inches by 1 inch. The ring is not closed in the back, so it is slightly adjustable. The model is a size 7 but it had been stretched to a size 10.

The ancient Egyptians believed that the scarab was the earthly manifestation of the god Khepri, and pushed the sun across the sky each day, only to disappear and magically re-appear the next morning. As such, it is a powerful amulet for self-creation, transformation, and re-birth. They were worn or carried by the living, and also buried with the dead to help them on their way to the afterlife.
