This lovely Egyptian silver scarab ring was made in Cairo, Egypt! This ring is made from Egyptian Silver (approximately 85% silver) which is standard in the Egyptian marketplace. The silver is stamped by the Egyptian government certifying the silver content.

The ancient Egyptians believed that the scarab was the earthly manifestation of the god Khepri, and pushed the sun across the sky each day, only to disappear and magically re-appear the next morning.     Came in the right size, very pretty and durable material! It does leave green on your finger when you wear it, but this is typical for sterling silver. I put clear nail polish on it to help this. It came in good timing and is a very good addition to my hand.
