Egyptian Sphinx and Pyramid Statue - Made in Egypt
The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of the most iconic monuments in the world, located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt. It is a colossal limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human, believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. The Great Sphinx stands guard over the Giza Pyramids, a complex that includes the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with several smaller pyramids and other ancient structures.Â
The limestone statue is immense, with a length of 73 meters (240 feet) and a height of 20 meters (66 feet). The face of the Sphinx is partially eroded but still conveys a sense of mystery and grandeur. The body of the Sphinx resembles a recumbent lion, symbolizing strength and power.
This statue is made from high-quality hand molded polymer. They were individually hand painted by skilled Egyptian artisans. We work with this artist closely in the ancient bazaar of Khan el-Khalili in Cairo, Egypt.Â
