Diese handgeformte Gedenktafel wurde in Luxor, Ägypten, hergestellt! Die originale Narmer-Palette (letztes Foto) befindet sich heute im Ägyptischen Museum in Kairo. Narmer war der erste König der Ersten Dynastie Ägyptens, und die Narmer-Palette wurde höchstwahrscheinlich geschaffen, um seine militärischen Siege über Unterägypten zu feiern. Dieses Wandbild wurde als Replikat dieser antiken Reliquie geschaffen. Das Wandbild ist doppelseitig und trägt auf beiden Seiten unterschiedliche Motive. Die Tafel ist 21,6 cm hoch und hat oben einen Aufhänger. Ihre Bestellung wird in einer Schachtel mit Hieroglyphensymbolen und einer Informationskarte versendet.

Die Narmer-Palette (auch bekannt als Narmers Siegespalette und Große Hierakonpolis-Palette) ist eine ägyptische zeremonielle Gravur, etwas über zwei Fuß hoch und in Form eines Chevron-Schildes. Sie zeigt den König Narmer aus der Ersten Dynastie, wie er seine Feinde besiegt und Ober- und Unterägypten vereint.
Die Palette ist aus einem einzigen Stück Siltstein geschnitzt, der in der Ersten Dynastie Ägyptens häufig für Zeremonientafeln verwendet wurde. Die beidseitige Schnitzerei deutet darauf hin, dass sie eher für zeremonielle als für praktische Zwecke geschaffen wurde. Paletten für den täglichen Gebrauch waren nur einseitig verziert. Die Narmer-Palette ist kunstvoll geschnitzt und erzählt die Geschichte von König Narmers Sieg in der Schlacht und der Zustimmung der Götter zur Vereinigung Ägyptens.

    I looked for a long time for a replica of the Narmer Palette priced within my budget. The best replicas available are double-sided @ about half-scale, but they cost hundreds of dollars. The single-sided half-scale ones are much more reasonably priced, but if you want a replica you don't want half of it missing. This one is about one-third scale, double-sided, with very accurate details, and very modestly priced -- an excellent value all the way around. Plus these guys unexpectedly included a very nice free gift with my order!
