The quality and workmanship of the cartouche is fine. I just thought the malachite would have been a darker green. I was in Cairo for '86 to 92 and the malachite scarab I have is a shade darker green.

The cartouche is beautiful and I received several compliment on it. I wear it constantly and it has held up great. There is, what some would call an imperfection, a small notch on the left side but it doesn't bother me and I think it adds to the the piece.UPDATE: I bought this in 2019 and it is still as beautiful as when i got it. I wear it constantly and it has held up very well.
