Excellent quality and craftsmanship! The customized cartouche I ordered far exceeded my expectations. Additionally the estimated wait time was to be approximately 6 weeks but it arrived in 3 weeks and Discoveries Egyptian Imports kept me informed throughout the entire process.

I received the Lapis cartouche this week to give to a girlfriend as a birthday gift. It is LOVELY - brilliant in color and great quality. Because she had a short name, I added extra symbols to signify that she was a Goddess. She will love it!

The quality and workmanship of the cartouche is fine. I just thought the malachite would have been a darker green. I was in Cairo for '86 to 92 and the malachite scarab I have is a shade darker green.

I purchased the cartouche for my wife, and she loved it! The craftsmanship is very good, and I was pleased to see that it was heavier than I expected (i.e. more silver).

No only did the item meet my expectations, but the several messages I sent to them (I wanted to make a change in my order) were quickly answered and professionally and courteously resolved.

The only thing I can say that was an issue was that it took about a month to get to me, but I know that I have to take into account that a) it is hand-made b) it is individualized and c) the item is made in Egypt, so shipping takes longer.

That said, I would definitely recommend HistoryDefined to anyone looking for good quality, a fair price and great customer service. In fact, I plan on purchasing another cartouche for my step-daughter!
